Ingredients:

  • 1 cup chopped dates and 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons non-hydrogenated vegan margarine or soy spread
  • 1/4 cup vegan brown sugar (optional)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour

Directions:

Mix ingredients. Then, add flour. Bake in 350o F oven for 45 min.
