• 1 cup canned or pre-cooked black-eyed peas
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced and lightly sauteed in olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper


Mash black-eyed peas with a fork. Add garlic, cumin and spices. Blend until combined. Add more spices, salt and pepper to taste. Use in sandwiches or as a dip for vegetables or chips.
