Ingredients:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon mixed spice
  • 1 tablespoon vegan sugar
  • 500 gm currents
  • 1 tablespoon peel (optional)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon yeast
  • 1 teaspoon vegan sugar
  • 1/3 cup warm water
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions:

Put flour, salt, spice, 1 tbsp vegan sugar, currents (and peel) in a bowl. Leave in a warm place.

Mix yeast, 1 tsp vegan sugar and water. Leave yeast mixture to rise. Stir yeast mixture into flour mixture. Knead, roll into buns and leave in a warm place to rise. Bake 10-15 minutes at 425F.
