• 4 cups water two potatoes
  • 1 can or 1/4 lb. of chick peas
  • Two carrots
  • 1/2 onion
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • 1 zuchini(optional)
  • Two tablespoons cumin
  • 1 teaspoon tumeric
  • 2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup textured soy protein


Lightly sautee half the garlic and the onion in olive oil add spices. Dump in the water and the potatoes and the carrots(after you chop them up of course) Once it boils for seven minutes add zuchini and rest of garlic. Stir until vegetables are cooked. Finally add textured soy protein, then two minutes later add Tomato paste. Salt n pepper to taste. Serve with cous-cous.
